Tarkarli is a village in Malvan Taluka, district Sindhudurg. It is Tourist Destination in Coastal Maharashtra, an attractive beach. It is called the queen of Sindhudurgas beaches, at the confluence of the River Karli. This place has gained prominence because of its long and narrow stretch of beach with pristine waters.

On a fairly clear day, one can see the bed unto a depth of 20 ft. It presents a panoramic view with tall
'Shuru' trees in the background. The wide river, the beautiful sailboats and the tiny wonderful islands hamlets situated on the riverbank, add to the picturesque beauty of Tarkarli.

Malvan is a fishing port on western coast of Sindhudurga district (Maharashtra state in India). It is a southern part of the Konkan coastline boasts with a long stretch of shimmering sand & fringed with thick coconut, jack fruit, bamboo and Supari trees.
